Dear Sponsors of the Lancefield Motorcycle Run,

Let me take this opportunity to thank our past sponsors, for their very generous donations to this unique event. Many of you have been with us from the first ride in 2008 and we look forward to your continued support in the future. In 2011 we raised $22,000 & in 2012 we raised $30,000 for a combined total of $90,000 since 2008 donated to many children in need.

For new sponsors, a word about us. This is a professionally conducted annual event, led by The Lancefield Motorcycle Run inc. We are a non for profit organisation, run by a group of passionate & community minded people and their families who enjoy riding motorcycles combined with raising money for children’s causes & generating interest in Lancefield, Romsey and the surrounding districts.

We offer 5 main levels of sponsorship, however any donations of cash or prizes are greatly appreciated.

Bronze: Cash or Prizes up to the value of $249. Your business details including links to your website added to sponsors link on our website.

Silver: Cash or Prizes value between $250 – $499. Your business name & ph# will be printed onto the lower back of our event T-Shirt & business details including links to your website added to sponsors link on our website.

Gold: Cash or Prizes value between $500 – $999. Your business name & ph# will be printed onto the middle back of our event T-Shirt in bigger font & business details including links to your website added to sponsors link on our website & free T-Shirt.

Platinum: Cash or Prizes value between $1000 – $3000 Your business name & ph# will be printed onto the Top back of our event T-Shirt in larger font & business details including links to your website added to sponsors link on our website,  free T-Shirt & Stubby holder.

Main Sponsor: Cash only donation of $3000 plus. Business name & ph# printed in prominent position large font on front & top back of the event T-Shirt, business ad on our event Flyers & business details including links to your website added to sponsors link on our website,  free T-Shirt, Stubby holder & recognition on the day of the ride.

The sale of our T-Shirts helps to promote your business, our event and is a significant contributor to the funds raised on the day.

Saturday 26 November 2011, our first Show n Shine was held at the Romsey Hotel, many thanks must go to Jim, Rob and staff at the Romsey Hotel for letting us stage the event at the Hotel and the way all staff showed their great hospitality, help to make this an enjoyable day.

It rained and rained and rained again, by 9am we were finished setting up, and it looked like we might have needed an ark to host any bikes and people who might have showed up. But plans had been made, promises to keep and we went ahead, rain, hail or shine, luckily we had a bit of sunshine and no hail.

True to biker form the dedicated riders amongst the fraternity stared rolling up, by 10.30 we had 4 bikes, 3 all the way from Bendigo and by lunch time their was 28 bikes on show. The rain finally dissipated, the band ‘Marvin & the Vague Sensations’ played some great music and we had over a hundred people mingling around and enjoying the days event, in the end it turned out to be a great day. Both Kaya and Amber were able to attend at different times during the day and we were able to introduce them to the crowd. We ended up with 9 Trophy’s and some great bikes to choose from, thank you to the riders who braved the weather to help make this a great day. We will definitely be doing it again next year, lets hope the weather gods will be kind to us.

A big thank you also to all those who help put this day together, Frank from, Doria Bros. Transport who kindly donated the use of their truck for the band, even though we didn’t use it because of the rain. The Romsey/Lancefield Lions club for providing the BBQ and cooking all the food, fantastic effort. The boys who assisted with Traffic Management, standing in the rain, we couldn’t put these events on without the help of our fantastic volunteers. Thank you to Anette and the Kilmore Arts Society for the donation of 5 sets of paintings for a raffle with all money being kindly donated to the ‘Amber & Kaya Muscle Run’. Podge from V Twin Thunder for being the Judge on the day. The band, the people who came down in their cars to show support for what we are doing and all the committee members.
